Butterflies are one of the pollinators that help support the life cycle on the planet. Butterflies symbolize a transformation as do many insects as they go from a "worm" state to being able to fly free. These dangles are rather long at about three inches but are light since made of tin. The top and bottom butterfly are a royal blue tin and the middle one a white and light blue tin. The blue butterflies really reflect the light which made photographing difficult even on a cloudy day.
The earwire is blue niobium and the color is obtained by an electric current. Niobium is an element so this ear wire is great for those with metal allergies. The butterflies are connected together with brass jump rings. At the widest point the earring is just under a half inch.
